Finding a health care practitioner, or even more than one, can be an important step to take in your biomedical journey. It is important that you are clear on what your health care practitioner can offer and what it is you need. Not all practitioners below will suit your child's needs, your preferences, or perhaps even your budget or location.

A practitioner who has been very helpful to one child may not be of benefit to your child. It is important to ask other parents of ASD children about their experiences with a practitioner.

Communicating with other parents will give you more information to make a good choice. As with any relationship you might have with a professional, Treating Autism encourages you to understand that you are the consumer, paying for a service, and you should expect a high quality service to be offered. If you do not feel this is the case, it may be best to pursue a different professional relationship.
