Support

We aim to provide support for families affected by autism in many ways.

Face to face: through our fantastic Treating Autism Local Groups and events. Check our list to see if there's a group in your area. If not - consider starting one, we're here to help.

Via the Contact Us facility on our website: we aim to help you or to put you in touch with people who can.

We organise conferences: our next major conference is in March 2009 and has a world-class line up of speakers. This will be the largest autism-specific biomedical conference and exhibition ever held in the UK. It will also be the chance to meet dozens of people in exactly your situation.

We organise Parent to Parent events where you can meet and hear the stories of other people in your position who have achieved great things for their children through biomedical interventions.

Lastly, we try to keep our lists of practitioners and suppliers up to date so that you can find the best people to help you. We always want to hear about great companies you find and practitioners you recommend.

Internet Support Groups
Internet-based support groups are a great way to contact other families with autism, share your worries, seek advice and learn from very knowledgeable parents. Yahoo groups do not seek to replace the advice of qualified medical professionals but they are absolutely invaluable sources of news, support and helpful information.   Read More
